Do you feel called to do something great for God but allow fear, doubt, or insecurity to keep you from your God-given purpose? Sometimes you may think that it is easier not to do the “thing” than risk utter failure.
In Do the Thing: Gospel-Centered Goals, Gumption, and Grace for the Go-Getter Girl, by Rebecca George, Rebecca addresses the fears and insecurities that may inhibit us from moving forward in our goals and is an encouraging voice cheering you on to move forward in accomplishing your God-given dreams.
Do the Thing is an interactive book with study questions at the end of each chapter and 6 accompanying video teachings by Rebecca which help guide you through some action steps to help you on your journey to find and do your “thing.”

Some of the things you will learn on this journey are:
Having a kingdom perspective for your giftings.
Learning that your glory goals are not “cute little side hobbies.”
Learning that you can stop striving and operate by God’s agenda.
Overcome negative thought patterns to work and create with confidence of being a go-getter girl.
Rebecca was asked the question; “Why did you write Do the Thing?’
“When I think about the last decade or so of conversations I have had with women and the themes that consistently come up, the topic of our “calling” is very common. I often see women struggle in the areas of insecurity, doubt, comparison and more. There are also moments along the way that can be tricky – when God calls us to something new, when we endure through a hard season, and/or when God prompts us to lay something down in order to create capacity for a new “thing” He has for us to do. I felt compelled to share my own journey and struggles in these areas and lead women toward the truth only found in God’s word that will help us walk through these moments with more confidence and clarity.”

I really loved this book and I recommend it to anyone who is struggling with their God-given dream or trying to find their God-given dream. This book has encouraged me to move forward with my giftings and stop allowing my fears and insecurities to dictate my next steps. It has been a God-send.
I received this book for free from the author, publisher, distributor or other source. My only obligation is to provide a fair and honest review.
